This company, a leading South Korea's agrochemicals company , has announced updates on the global business expansion of its Tiafenacil (Terrad’or®) business.

Tiafenacil is a non-selective, post-emergence contact herbicide developed by itself. It is the most powerful existing PPO herbicide to control broad-leaves and grass weeds simultaneously. Tiafenacil provides very fast action with necrotic symptom, 2~3 days after application. It also provides excellent control against glyphosate resistant weeds in row crop, permanent crop and non-crop land.

The company first registered Tiafenacil and its formulated products in South Korea in 2017, and has successfully obtained registration approvals in major markets, including the USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, Malaysia, and several other countries, as of 2024. 

They are now preparing for the registration in China to expand market potentiality of Tiafenacil. Recently, they reported that not only the field phase evaluations of Tiafenacil, but also the storage stability test for 2 years that required for registration in China have been successfully conducted. 

Tiafenacil offers fast and powerful burndown efficacy and is also highly effective against problematic weeds resistant to Glyphosate. This is expected to help reduce weed control costs for Chinese farmers while also providing an outstanding solution for weed management.

Currently, they are evaluating the potential for Tiafenacil business in China market and is seeking a local distribution partner to collaborate on future sales and distribution.
